TEDxPittsburgh LIVE STREAM
OVERVIEW
MediaQuest (formerly Cut ’N’ Run Productions) was engaged to support TEDxPittsburgh with professional video production and event coverage that captured the power and energy of the conference. TEDxPittsburgh brings together local innovators, thinkers, and community leaders to share ideas worth spreading, and our role was to document the event in a way that reflected its creativity, clarity, and impact. The project combined live session capture, speaker highlight content, and event documentation — all tailored to the TEDx brand and audience.
CREATIVE APPROACH
Our approach focused on story-driven video coverage that complemented TEDxPittsburgh’s mission of delivering meaningful ideas to a broad audience. MediaQuest (formerly Cut ’N’ Run Productions) worked closely with the TEDxPittsburgh team to plan camera positions, lighting considerations, and audio capture strategies that would preserve the speaker-led format while creating visually engaging recordings.
We emphasized unobtrusive production so speakers and attendees could engage naturally, while still ensuring we captured clear, professional audio for each talk, multiple camera angles per session, B-roll that reflected the audience experience, on-stage visuals in a way that supported TEDx branding. This balance of technical precision and creative framing allowed the production to feel immersive without being intrusive.
DELIVERABLES
MediaQuest provided a robust set of production outputs tailored to both post-event promotion and archival use including multi-camera recordings of all TEDxPittsburgh talks, edited speaker highlight clips optimized for digital platforms, full session videos suitable for TEDx official channels, supplemental footage capturing audience engagement and event atmosphere.
All media was formatted for immediate use on websites, social media, and partner channels, giving TEDxPittsburgh valuable assets for outreach and impact.
IMPACT
The video production elevated TEDxPittsburgh’s ability to share its message beyond the live event, giving speakers and organizers compelling visual content to extend the life of the conference. With MediaQuest (formerly Cut ’N’ Run Productions) handling the creative and technical execution, TEDxPittsburgh gained high-quality recordings of every talk, engaging highlight content for promotion and distribution, and a comprehensive visual archive for future use. These outcomes helped expand the reach of the conference’s ideas and reinforced TEDxPittsburgh’s presence both locally and online.
